The third Grand Prix event of the BQA was once again well attended by MQL members. On this occasion the day was dominated by players from Merseyside. The Individual Event was won by Andy Page (Blue Lamps), pictured right. Positions 2, 3 and 4 in the Grand Final were filled by Ray Oakes (Condottieri), Pat Gibson (Pleiades) and John Wilson (Castaways) respectively. There were top ten finishes also for Dag Griffiths (5=), Mark Kerr (7=) and Karl Whelan (7=). Pictured below right are the four grand finalists together with QM Chris Jones, flanked by scorer Tom Farley and bonus-keeper Dag Griffiths.

Pictured below left are Karl, Ray, Dag and Tom Farley (Wings), playing as Formby Wings in the team competition which they won. In doing so, they made up for the disappointment of their defeat by the narrowest of margins at the Milton Keynes Grand Prix.
