Eddie Conway Cup/MIMIR heats
In a closely contested final, Ray Oakes (Casablanca) finished a point ahead of Dag Griffiths (Wings) reversing the result of the equally close final of last year. Tom Farley (Wings) was a further point behind, with Neil Macaskill Fishermens Rest) making up the quartet. At 84, Tom was probably the oldest player to make the final. These 4, plus Alan Wright ( E Street Band) and Harry Owen (Fishermen's Rest) will represent the league in the Merseyside Finalson the 20th March. As usual, the evening was very efficiently run by Ann Evans (MPs) aided by taem mates Dan Evans and Owen Lea-Porter.
