Derek Moody (Mastermind Final - 2008)

Congratulations to Derek Moody of the Warrington League on reaching the final of BBC TV's Mastermind. His subjects in the first round and semi-final were respectively the TV series 'The Survivors' and 'The Edge of Darkness'.

For the final he chose the Godfather trilogy of films and led the contest at the halfway stage with an impressive score of 17 points.

Unfortunately, after the general knowledge round, he finished in second place - one point behind the eventual winner. Nevertheless it was another impressive performance by an MQL quiz player in this prestigious competition.
