In 2001 in memory of Bill Hawkins, former quiz colleagues presented the league with a memorial trophy to be awarded to the highest scoring male player in league matches.
Pictured far left Ray Oakes (Condottieri) receives the trophy for the third time in 2003. Pictured right Ray hands over the trophy to 2004 winner Dag Griffiths (Wings) who had to hand it back in 2005! In 2006 Dag wrested it away from Ray's grasp for the second time and retained it in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
