| In 2005 Condottieri made it a hat-trick of wins in both the MQL premier competitions, namely the Feeny Cup and the MQL Challenge Cup. In 2004 the League Championship was regained from arch-rivals Wings and retained in 2005. In 2006 Condottieri had to be content with one major trophy when they won their fourth successive Feeny Cup Final. |

in 1999 by Ray
Oakes who had previously
played in the Liverpool and Northern leagues. The squad includes two other experienced quiz players - namely Bill Thomas and Chris Sumner. Bill has also played in the Liverpool and Northern leagues whilst Chris had played previously in the Southport (& Formby) League for both Formby Railway B and Victoria Sports. The team had a highly successful first season, winning the second division with a 100% record and reaching three cup finals, winning two of them. They also formed the backbone of the Southport & Formby 2 team which won the President's Shield. | In their first season in Division One (2000-2001), they finished as runners-up. In cup competitions, they won the Don Standing Cup avenging their defeat at the hands of Zetland in the previous season and reached the final of MQL's Feeny Cup. | |
