Originally called Southport Amateurs, but on closure of the club moved to the Berkeley Hotel as the Exams (i.e. Ex Amateurs). For a time the hotel was renamed Blakes, but it reverted to its original name. At the start of the 2006-7 season the team moved to the Wings Club. On the closure of the Wings Club and the Shakespeare, the team moved to the Bold Arms..

Pictured above left is John Miller, a stalwart of the team and the league. He was Division 2 secretary for a number of years and for a number of years organised and presented an annual Christmas Charity Quiz.
